“Health does not begin or end at a country’s border,” notes Dr Santino Severoni, Director of the WHO Health and Migration Programme. “With this extension countries have seven years ahead to reorient their health systems to embrace inclusive policies, plans, and interventions in the long term, beyond the acute phase of migration and displacement”.
