During the pilot study, communication material was developed aimed at empowering PFH by providing them with essential resources that facilitate better communication about vaccination. By using these tools, PFH can improve patient understanding, address concerns more effectively, and ultimately contribute to higher vaccination rates. The material developed included:

The Glossary of Basic Terms of Vaccination

Description: A comprehensive glossary that defines key vaccination terms.

Purpose: To ensure that PFH have a clear understanding of vaccination-related terminology.

Use: Can be used as a reference to enhance clarity during patient interactions and professional discussions.

Easy-to-read Vaccination Registries

Description: Two detailed registries, one for children and adolescents, and one for adults, each listing the vaccines recommended by the national vaccination program. Basic information on the vaccines and the related vaccine-preventable disease(s) were given in a simple and easy-to-follow language.

Purpose: To provide a structured record-keeping tool that details each vaccine, its schedule, and specific recommendations.

Use: These registries aid healthcare providers in maintaining accurate vaccination records and informing patients about their vaccination status and requirements.

Informational leaflet about myths and truths of vaccination

Description: A concise leaflet that outlines some of the most popular myths and truths about vaccinations.

Purpose: To offer patients an easy-to-understand overview of the benefits and importance of vaccines.

Use: Can be distributed to patients during visits to enhance their understanding and encourage vaccination uptake.

Booklet of Terms or Phrases for Patient Communication

Description: A booklet containing common phrases and terms used when communicating with patients in a health unit. The booklet is comprised by phrases and term not only regarding vaccinations but also frequently asked questions.

Purpose: To assist PFH in delivering consistent and clear messages about health services in various languages.

Use: Useful during patient interactions in hospitals and health centers to ensure that language barriers do not impede communication.

Poster of Terms and Phrases

Description: A poster featuring the terms and phrases from the booklet.

Purpose: To serve as a quick reference tool for healthcare professionals.

Use: Can be displayed in staff areas for easy access and reference during patient interactions.
